I found the main peculiarity is that FLV, MP3 and MP4 files in most browsers display a 'flash animation' link that displays the media on click. I tested in both Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Windows 7. I tested two videos of each media type. On having inconsistency with different types of media and flow player (embedded media block) - I decided to do a quick cross browser check with all the browsers installed on my computer.
